Character Design's

I realized that, while I posted my new animatic, I forgot to post my character designs. Here I have a couple basic pictures. I may change the colors and shapes of them a bit but for right now these are pretty close to being final. I'll try to get some backgrounds and visual development on here too so you can see what kinds of look I'm thinking of.

  1. The shape of the spy guy is fantastic. He looks simultaneously menacing and ridiculous. This is exactly what I imagine real-life censors to look like.

I wonder if there's a way to make the little dude's design more bold like the censor's?

  2. I agree- I love the spy character. The boy's design does not reveal as much about him. Perhaps you could give more thought into his clothes? If he is an art lover perhaps a turtle neck or some cool outfit? Anything to give us some hint of his personality. Shirt, shoes, bag, hair, etc, all reveal something about him.

  3. The censor reads really well, especially in silhouette. I agree with Sheila and Joe's comments about the little guy, but I would also pull his design together a little more and streamline some shapes. Does that make sense? In terms of detail, since he's an artist, maybe you could throw some ink on his pants or--this is stereotypical, but--a pencil behind his ear. Maybe even some pins on his bag.
